First off, tomorrow is our appointment with Nintendo. We have an 8 hour play session with The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, which should be fun! I've enjoyed playing it on a few ocassions but now we have free-reign over a very very large portion of the game, so we'll get to see it in all its glory. I'm hearing good things from some high-end folks, so I'm looking forward to seeing it first-hand tomorrow. I may share when I get back, but what I can share is limited as I am sworn by embargo not to spoil anything. Spoilers! /River Song reference
Second, I am planning on re-opening commissions next week Monday (the 17th). There's a high liklihood I will have limited slots, so give it some good thought this weekend! I'm opening them back up for very good reason (and this is where I hope you'll read!). A friend of ours has been a lifetime game collector of all kinds of epic things, including mint NES's and more games than you could throw a truck at. He's looking to start a new phase in life travelling, so he's selling his entire collection. Everything goes! And what's more it's a friends-only "epic yard sale". (Is it just me or does "Vlad's Epic Yard Sale" sound like an awesome Wii game?). He's selling everything super cheap because he wants everything to go (to good homes, too), so it's an awesome opportunity for us to fill out a few things in our collection, pick up a new console or two, and do some epic advance Christmas gift hunting! I'd really love to support him and use this chance to get a few things we wouldn't have a hope of acquiring otherwise, so I'll be opening commissions for a likely limited time in this October for that very purpose. I'm all excited, so I hope it works out!
Another update, I got two huge packages from the States with a bunch of my old stuff in it, including but not limited to a lot of my games and game-related things I couldn't bring with me. Also my books (LotR hardcover box set etc), lots of old photos, and some overdue Christmas and birthday gifts from the past year. Among those spoils a Blinky (red ghost) Pac Man plush that's super squishable, two Kinectimals plushes, and some great Halloween decorations. It's felt like home here for a long time, but now I feel like that little part of me that was held back by my precious things still being in the States is finally home, where it belongs. It's a beautiful feeling. Also found OoT Link figure's missing sword and shield, and I have my original Zelda games back with me. You'd be stunned at how wildly collectible and rare an American Collector's Edition copy of Majora's Mask is. And the funny thing is, back when it was released, that was the only version I could find. But anyway-- good stuff.
Life's been busy but I'm keeping up to the best of my abilities. I've been a little slow, but productive nonetheless. I hammered out another game assignment today, Skyward Sword appointment tomorrow... This weekend I'm hoping to catch up on a little sleep, finish my two commissions on the list, and put up my Halloween decorations. Late this month (within a week of each other) we have the Zelda symphony in London (still hasn't sunk in), a Halloween party, and Vlad's epic yard sale. I can't believe so much stuff is going on, but I'll make it! The fact is even though I'm behind on stuff, I've been healing a lot emotionally. So instead of spending a day sitting somewhere feeling awful and unable to do anything, I'm using the entire day to get things done. It's exhausting, but it feels so good.
November I'm totally jazzed for! We traded a bunch of games to earn credit towards Skyward Sword and Sonic Generations, both collector's editions. They come out in very close proximity with each other so if you see me disappear in the first and second weeks of November, you know what happened.
But that's enough update for now. I'll have another one by weekend's end. Before I go though, special feature for ~Ideya-Freak for being divine motivation for me. She recently completed her best artwork ever so go give it lots and lots of love!

When I scrolled down that blew me out of the water- thank you!!!
Anyhow-!
You need to tell us all about your SS game play! That's really epic that you get the chance to go and play it- so tell us every detail!
Also I'm happy to hear you finally got the rest of your collectibles! That's funny with the MM story! Funny how life works sometimes! lol
Oooh and commissions? I might have to snatch a slot! <3
Yes I'm going to write a journal about our experience with Skyward Sword here after checking all the messages from yesterday.
Yes and definitely give that slot some thought!
