There was a change of plans on our end, so I'm working on commissions again today. I find commissions are harder to get done and require more time than housework, so the house is a disaster. But it's well worth it in my opinion considering this is the 4th day in a row I'm turning out a finalized commission artwork. It feels very good! My outside art project that's not listed here on dA is also going well and it looks like I'll be a part of it for at least a while longer, which is great news. I also did a personal artwork for a 5-part collab I'm participating in with ~Aura-Moon and ~Ideya-Freak. It's not colored yet, but hopefully soon! I want to at least finish one of everyone's commissions before I color that one.
On the subject of commission order, I've been trying to complete them in order but haven't been doing the best job in the world of that. The commission I'm coloring today is actually one of my most recent ones, but that's only because the lineart is exactly where I want it and it has a large background, which I actually have time to paint today. I'm finding at least half the time now I'm organizing commissions according to how long they'll take instead, to make things more efficient. So dear =Rolytic, thank you for having the patience of a saint! I did linework for your commissions but I'm redoing them, because I think they could be better. My self-standards when it comes to my artwork have really risen lately. "Good" isn't good enough. I want it to be the best it can possibly be, and I aim to please. The wait will be worth it.
I believe somewhere between this weekend and next week I'll have another game assignment, so commission work will slow down a bit around that time. Again you can always refer to my game assignment status in this journal to see whether or not I'm on the "game assignment leave" I so often need to take. So that's it for now, nothing really new but I'm enjoying writing a journal today. Have a lovely day everyone.
